Activities
Digital Design - Software
In the digital age, designing has also advanced to usage of digital tools. One of the primary activities of the club is the teach and learn digital tools that can be used for designing. This activity is primarily conducted by students who are proficient in the software platform. Anyone in the club who knows a software can teach and others learn from them.
Brainstorming
A rapid discussion session where the goal was not to actually design but discuss how we would approach to design.
While the participants are still exploring and enhancing themselves, the brainstorming sessions prove to become a bridge which connects the opportunities lying beyond their creative limitations.
Past Events, Workshops & Seminars:
Human Anatomy from the Design Perspective
As we learn a lot of designing from nature, this workshop was conducted to teach us how the nature designs.
As the students are from biomedical engineering, the session was focused on learning the nature's design of the human body.
The session covered the field of Human Anatomy from the completely different perspective and taught us a new way to look at human body structure and design.
In the subsequent sessions of the workshop - students presenting a human anatomical system from design perspective and professor evaluating them
Professor showing the human anatomical system through the glass of designing
Understanding the design and structure of a portable X-ray machine
Discussion of the structure of a portable X-Ray machine.
Hands on training and experience on how to open and close the machine.
Learning how the theoretical structure translates into practical machine.
The greatest highlight of the workshop was the learning of how the machine is designed, from overall structure to the placements of each components and the materials used for the structure and their roles/advantages.
Professor showing the open x-ray tube
Comparing the theoretical and actual structure
