Students will be given a design challenge and in partners, groups, or individually, students will creatively solve problems. Each time, the process will include the following steps: Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, Test/Improve, and Share. Children will be learning during the process and they find this hands on exploration naturally engaging.
Students will be using tools such as iPads, Chromebooks, robotics, and the green screen to plan, record, photograph, label, screen cast, make movies, program, and present their work to peers, teachers, and parents. Some examples of this will added to the gallery of this website.
The Innovation Lab takes place in room 128 next to the FloRo Library. Students have access to a variety of building materials and robots to complete complex challenges. Then they record their observations and presentations using iPads and microphones and save their recordings using Seesaw in grades K-2 and Google Classroom in grades 3 and 4.
