Souris River Watershed District Bursary

Requirements

• Must be continuing their education in a field related to agriculture or conservation.  Selection of recipient may be based more on the individual's community involvement, interest in agriculture or conservation and attitude rather than on academic skills alone. The student must be a resident in Pipestone or Sifton Municipalities or have a parent or grandparent as a current resident or landowner in either municipality.

• For 2025 four bursaries in the amount of $1000.00 will be awarded. The recipient will receive the bursary upon submitting documentation showing course enrollment and registration at an approved post-secondary institution to Sours River Watershed District.

• In the event the recipient has not enrolled in his or her course of studies within three year of the making of the award, the award shall be forfeited.

• To apply the student must submit a typed application on or before May 23rd, 2025 to Souris River Watershed District and to include;

  • The municipality in which the student resides

  • The educational institution that they will be attending and the course enrolled in

  • Background information regarding extra-curricular activities, community involvement, interest and hobbies

  • Interest in agriculture or conservation
