Building Character Today for Communities of Tomorrow

Community Schools Connector: Mrs. Kim Williment

Oak Lake Community School is one of 25 community schools in the province. “Building Character Today for Communities of Tomorrow” focuses on building good character among students, both in and out of the school, as we partner with families, businesses, and other organizations.

Our school continues to partner with organizations such as West Souris River Conservation District to develop environmental citizenship in our students and community. In addition to weekly character education classes, service learning projects provide an authentic way for students to give back to the local and global community while caring for our environment.
