Kindergarten Sight Word Recognition Celebration
Join us in celebrating our Kindergarten students as they work toward mastering their sight words for the 2026–2027 school year! Student achievement images will be added to each level as students are assessed and successfully recognize and read the words on each sight word list.
Students who do not have permission for their photographs to be published will not be included on the webpage; however, their accomplishments are still recognized and celebrated at school.
A complete list of sight words included at each level can be found using the link this link.
How Families Can Help at Home
Parents and guardians play an important role in helping students build confidence and fluency with sight words. Regular practice and repeated exposure are the keys to quick recognition and mastery.
Here are a few helpful tips:
Practice a few words at a time rather than trying to learn the entire list at once.
Review words frequently through reading, flashcards, games, or everyday activities. Some suggestions for games can be found at: Ideas for Parents to Help at Home
Celebrate progress and encourage your child as they continue learning.
Remember: The best way to accomplish a big goal is one small step at a time. With consistent practice and encouragement, students will continue growing as confident readers!
