Being Ambassador

These should be your normal behaviors when you turn on your "leader mode" in any formal situation. 👀 

•  The student introduces herself/himself.

• The student gives a strong handshake.

• The student completes the task. 

• The student uses all their time. 

• The student uses complete sentences (more than 2 sentences).

• The student makes eye contact.

• The student smiles and uses hand gestures.

• The student exudes confidence.

Do these during the debate round.

• Answer in clear and concise sentences.

• Use a strong voice, eye contact, and gestures.

• Acknowledge other students’ perspectives.

Judges will be looking for the following:

The student is able to defend their position with research (or examples) and explain why the other position will not work. The student uses a strong voice, eye contact, and gestures. This student actively listened to the other arguments.

👀The student answered the speaker’s question, referring back to specific information given by the other student, in a kind and encouraging way while tying it back to their own “side” and used a strong voice, eye contact, and gestures. The student actively listened to other arguments.
