Hey Black Knight family,
We find ourselves at the end of the school year, and as we say goodbye to our seniors, we also say goodbye to our regular sports seasons and hello playoffs. Our baseball team enters the postseason ranked 1st in the conference, looking to carry their momentum forward. Softball and soccer have both secured 3rd place in the conference and are prepared for competitive playoff runs. Track athletes will compete in a last-chance meet for a shot at qualifying for the state championships, while our tennis team heads into conference tournaments with determination and school pride. Let’s show up and cheer them on as they finish their seasons strong — Go Black Knights!
As we approach the final stretch of the academic year, there are several important dates to keep in mind. Seniors will take their finals on May 12th and 13th, with graduation scheduled for May 16th and their senior luncheon on May 9th. Underclassmen Awards Day is May 19th; their finals will take place on May 20th and 21st, which is also the last full day of school for all students. Let’s finish the year with focus, celebration, and school spirit!
I Hope You Have A Fantastic May!

Regular school attendance is essential for student success, as it directly impacts academic performance, social development, and future opportunities. Missing just 18 days in a school year—an average of two days per month—classifies a student as chronically absent, leading to significant learning gaps and difficulty keeping up with coursework. With a four-block schedule, a student missing two days a month loses 12 hours of instruction per month, totaling 108 hours per year—the equivalent of missing 72 full class periods of valuable learning time. Consistent attendance helps students build strong study habits, stay engaged in their education, and develop the discipline needed for future careers. Additionally, being present at school allows students to form meaningful relationships with teachers and peers, fostering a sense of belonging and support. By prioritizing attendance, we can ensure students receive the full benefits of their education and set them on a path toward success.
