About Us

The NC-921 “Flying Tigers” Air Force Junior ROTC program at Ragsdale High School is a cadet-led leadership organization focused on developing confident, disciplined, and service-minded young adults. 

We are more than a class and more than an extracurricular activity.
NC-921 is a place where students learn how to:

• Lead with integrity and accountability

• Work as part of a disciplined team

• Communicate with confidence and purpose

• Take ownership of their choices and future

Participation in Air Force Junior ROTC does not require military service.
Our mission is about character, citizenship, and life preparation, regardless of the path a cadet chooses after graduation.

At NC-921, cadets are entrusted with real responsibility.
Leadership positions are earned, expectations are clear, and growth is intentional.

Cadets plan events, lead formations, mentor younger students, and represent the school and community with pride. Through this structure, they learn that leadership is not about rank — it’s about service and example.
