For my IP10 project, I wanted to make an organization that provides free basketball clinics for underprivileged kids. Using the hours that I put into basketball my whole life, I felt that I could help others who haven’t had the opportunities that I have had. I chose this project because basketball has been such a big part of my life growing up and playing any sport can be a huge part of anyone's life. Basketball has been more than just a game for me; it's been a guiding force throughout my life. Recognizing the transformative power of sports, I wanted to extend opportunities to those who might not have had the chance to experience the joy and growth that come with it. You may be wondering, why basketball? Well, for me, it's not just about the game; it's about fostering a lifelong connection to a sport that can shape character and instill valuable life skills like teamwork and leadership. Overall, my goal was to see these kids not only embrace basketball but carry its positive influence with them throughout their lives, and although I only had the chance to coach one kid, I think I was able to do that for him.
