When I started researching for my project, I began with the sustainability aspect. I wanted to know how I could make a classic townhouse more sustainable, so I researched ways to do so. Some external aspects that I added to my townhouse are: lots of greenery and plants to reduce the amount of heat bouncing off the roof and solar panels to generate energy. The townhouse would also have a rainwater collection system, but that is not visible on the final model.
Next, I decided to focus on the building that I would be using as inspiration for my model. Here are some images of the townhouse:
I looked up the floor plans for the building I took inspiration from, and tried to loosely base my own floor plans off of those ones.
