Learning American Sign Language

We have spent much of the current Covid-19 pandemic reflecting on our own experiences: I have spoken, and thought, much about the ways the pandemic has affected me, but haven’t had the opportunity to do the same level of reflection on how the pandemic has affected those different from me. I have been immensely privileged during this pandemic, and wanted to explore how the pandemic affected others that don't have the same life experiences that I do. That is why I decided to research the effects of the pandemic on the Deaf community, along with learning ASL myself.
