77% of total school supplies are wasted. On top of that, nearly half of the toal amount of trash in landfills are school supplies. The amount of school supplies wasted per year is unimaginable. This issue is only made worse by the prominent distribution inefficiencies. 

I have always had an interest in enviormental issues and the econimcal impacts. In my day-to-day life I have noticed unbelievable amouts of school supply waste. For me, this sparked the question of what was causing this issue. I decided to explore the issue and write a research paper about it. As well as that, I thought it would be helpful to provide people with more sustainable school supplies, and access to organizations that help with the issue.
