Today we had a very special day! We called it "Monster Day". Mrs. Amy Short, our art teacher, and Mrs. Lisa Weber, the art teacher at Charlestown High school, worked together on a project for our JJ students from their CHS students. At the beginning of the year, all of the kindergarten students drew a monster in art class. CHS art students took their drawings and turned them into stuffed animals for each student. They even packaged the monsters as if they came from a toy store! Today we got to see our imagination come to life as each student was presented with their monster! We ate monster snacks, read Monsters Love Underpants, practiced monster addition, played "Teach My Monster to Read" (online game-info was sent home about how to play at home), watched Monsters Inc. and learned a new recess game called Monster Ball!

Field Trip Fun!

We had a special delivery to our classroom today! We all wanted to name him, so we put the names we chose in a basket and picked one out. Our classroom elf is named, Kaylee! We are so excited to have Kaylee in our class!

A little Thanksgiving Fun! We made butter and had a mini feast as we learned about the Native Americans & Pilgrims at their first Thanksgiving!

Our class collected 22 pair of pajamas! Way to Go! Our donations will go to Family Ark in Jeffersonville, IN!
