2018 Professional Development Retreat

Learning from Each Other: Information Literacy and Librarians as Researchers

Friday, October 12, 2018 | Brigham Young University

The Utah Academic Library Consortium invites you to its annual retreat on October 12, 2018 at the Brigham Young University Conference Center.

This year’s theme is “Learning from Each Other: Information Literacy and Librarians as Researchers,” emphasizing that no matter your role in an academic library, you can promote, foster, and further information literacy and academic research at your institution. The retreat is free of charge for all interested employees of UALC member libraries.

The retreat will include a mix of keynote addresses, informal networking, and breakout sessions. We’re trying something different with breakout sessions this year, with moderated dialogues around a topic rather than formal presentations. Please see the topics and corresponding discussion questions on the schedule, and come prepared to ask questions and share ideas.

We look forward to seeing you there!

**We have reached capacity and closed registration. Thank you for your interest!**
