Due to the small number of registrants, the February Follow-Up Event has been cancelled.
Thank you to all those who attended the UALC Professional Development Retreat “Privacy, Tech Equity, and the Library” in October of last year. We hope the speakers and the activities from the retreat helped you further understand these topics and inspired you to utilize what you learned into your work. The UALC Professional Development Committee is hosting a February Follow-Up Event where you can share how you have applied what you learned at the retreat at your library.
If you were unable to attend the retreat, you can find links to resources from the retreat, including a recording of our keynote speaker, on the Schedule tab of this website. We invite those of you who are interested in this topic and who have made contributions to your libraries in the areas of privacy and tech equity to still consider answering our call for proposals and/or attending the February Follow-Up Event.
Call for Proposals for the February Follow-Up Event
Utah academic librarians who either attended the October retreat on privacy, tech equity, and the library, or who weren't able to attend but specialize in those areas are invited to submit a proposal to share at the February Follow-Up Event what you are doing in your libraries in these areas either in general or because of what you learned at the retreat. To submit a proposal, send an email to carol.kunzler@snow.edu with your name, institution, position title, and a brief (100-200 word) summary of what you would share for 5-10 minutes at the February Follow-Up Event. Proposals are due by Friday, February 4, 2022.
