January- Self-Awareness

This month's theme is focused on Self-Awareness from the CASEL 5 and LNT Principle #1. Campers will be encouraged to engage in careful observation of their surroundings to determine preparation needed for activities. Campers will then engage in identifying how they can make these observations about themselves and their emotional states.

February- Responsible Decision-Making

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT HAVE CAMP ON THURSDAY FEBRUARY 29TH

This month's theme is Responsible Decision-Making from the CASEL 5 and LNT Principles #2 & #3. Campers will discuss why it is important to be responsible about outdoor travel and what responsible decisions in those settings look like. Campers will be encouraged to consider how responsible decision-making can lead to more positive outcomes and improved relationships with both others and our environments.

March- Self-Management

This month's theme is Self-Management from the CASEL 5 and LNT Principles #4 & #5. Campers will learn new mindfulness activities and identify situations that they might use these activities. Campers will also discuss the importance of self-management for personal safety by utilizing fire as a metaphor.

April- Social Awareness

This month's theme is Social Awareness from the CASEL 5 and LNT Principles #6 & #7. Campers will engage in activities about respecting personal boundaries and space through a backyard safari walk. They will also discuss what it means to be socially aware and have positive interactions by taking on leadership roles in self-guided activities.
