8th grade athletes, please be thinking about donating your used athletic uniforms to the athletic program. We will not be collecting these donated uniforms until the last week of school, but it is a good way to help out our new student-athletes. Please look for more information about this in the upcoming weeks.
Remote students are still required to come up to athletics during their specific class period. 7th grade meets during 1st period and 8th grade meets during 8th period.

We are getting word that some students are staying home because they aren't feeling well due to allergies or other ailments, yet still coming to practice or showing up to games. Please remember that if in-person students are absent for 5 consecutive days at school or 5 in a three week period, they will automatically be moved to remote learning.
If a student is listed as an in-person learner and they were not physically at school (as per their self-chosen designation), they should not be at practice or play in a game on that same day.
Coaches have been instructed to watch this and sit ill players out or send them home.
Please, please, please turn in all necessary forms and complete the UIL Rank One online forms. I know it has been difficult to schedule physicals during the pandemic, but we absolutely need to have the required paperwork turned-in before your student can participate in athletics. Even if you are not playing volleyball, we need to have required paperwork/forms on file. The forms and paperwork are required for students to be in athletics. Please check that you are turning-in the proper medical history form. It should say 2020 on the top right hand side.
We also need the UIL Rank One paperwork completed online ASAP. This is the online portion that you need to fill out for your student-athlete and when it is completed, I can see it on my end. For this to be completed you need to open every single tab in the online portal, or it will not register. Many of you have opened one or two tabs, and it still says incomplete on my end. The GCISD Pledge also needs to be signed and turned-in to the coaching staff.
This year has been especially difficult to collect paperwork since we have not been at school. Please get the paperwork and online forms completed and turned-in ASAP. If you need to take a picture of any of the paperwork and send it in that way, please do so. PS-I know that Care Now performs school physicals if needed quickly.
If you think you turned something in, and want to confirm, please send me an email. As for turning-in documents: If you want to scan (or take a picture) and send documents to my email, that is fine.
1. Medical History (Both 7th and 8th graders)
3. GCISD Pledge (ALL STUDENTS IN GCISD ATHLETICS)
4. UIL Rank One Forms: This website also needs to be filled out and completed. Once it is completed, we can see on our end that it is finished. PLEASE OPEN AND COMPLETE ALL TABS ON THE WEBSITE. It does not take very long to complete: https://grapevinecolleyville.rankonesport.com/New/NewInstructionsPage.aspx
Please consider joining the Grapevine Middle School Athletic Booster Club. We are a volunteer group of parents dedicated to supporting ALL GMS athletes and our programs!
All donations go directly to the GMS Athletic Booster Club to help purchase new equipment, uniforms, concessions and other items NOT funded by GCISD. All purchases are approved by the Athletics Booster Board.
*The GMS Athletics Booster Club is a 501(c)3 nonprofit volunteer organization.
Any individual may donate money or merchandise to the school with prior approval of the administration.Your donation may be tax deductible. Consult with your CPA.

HELLO PONIES!
PLEASE READ!
The website has multiple options of clothing for purchase, but ONLY THE SHORT SLEEVE RED SHIRT IS REQUIRED FROM THE WEBSITE. Everything else in the store is OPTIONAL. You may order the women’s cut or the other model of red shirt. It does not matter and is based on preference. Our new uniforms are the red shirt and gray shorts. This is where it can get a bit confusing-for you to be in uniform we require the RED SHIRT and GRAY SHORTS, but the GRAY SHORTS DO NOT HAVE TO BE PURCHASED FROM THE WEBSITE. If you already have solid gray shorts at home, and do not want to spend extra money on the gray shorts in the online store, you may wear your own solid gray shorts to athletics as long as there are no crazy designs on the side. Shorts also need to be longer than your fingertips when hands are at your side. If not in uniform, you will lose points and if this is a consistent offense, it could be the basis for your removal from the athletic program. If you have ordered a uniform and are waiting for it to be shipped, wear athletic gear you already own until your shipment has arrived. You will not lose any points if I can see the receipt on the online store. Athletic shoes (no sandals or boots) are required for athletics as well.
