2023-24 FLEX DAYS / PROFESSIONAL LEARNING REQUIREMENTS
OUTSIDE OF THE SCHOOL DAY:
WHO is required to complete FLEX outside of the work calendar/school day? (See Local POLICY DMC)
187 Day Contract, Teacher
187 Day Contract, Nurse
192 Day Contract, Collegiate Academy Teacher
197 Day Contract, CTE Teacher
208 Day Contract, iUniversity Prep
For the 2023-24 school year, FLEX days for employees required to complete OUTSIDE of the work calendar/ school day will consist of two parts:
2 days of federal, state and district-mandated courses (Vector) and
2 days of additional professional learning
DURING THE SCHOOL DAY:
WHO is required to complete FLEX during the work calendar/school day? (See Local POLICY DMC)

For the 2023-24 school year, FLEX days will consist of only one part:
2 days of federal, state and district-mandated courses (Vector)
AT THE TIME OF CHOOSING:
WHO completes FLEX requirements at a time of their choosing? (See Local POLICY DMC)
All other professional employees (Learning Liaisons, Instructional Coaches, Campus administrators, Counselors, Librarians, etc.) If you are not listed above, then you are "all other professional employees."
For the 2023-24 school year, FLEX days will consist of only one part:

MANDATORY VECTOR VIDEOS
Vector videos are required by the SBEC Clearinghouse (federal and state) and also include locally mandated videos. Vector can be found in Classlink. Once logged into Vector, you will will see the deadline date by which each video should be completed.
Videos will be available for viewing in Vector on July 1, 2023.
ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL LEARNING
Teachers must complete two days of professional learning within the 2023-24 school year and adhere to the following:
To be applicable for Flex days, the learning must happen outside what is a designated work day on the instructional calendar.
Teachers may participate in professional learning opportunities suggested by the district and/or another goal-aligned session of their choosing with supervisor approval. For approval, complete the Out-of-District Professional Learning Request form by going to Classlink-->Vector PD Tracking. In the top right corner choose New and complete the form.
Flex-eligible professional learning should take place between
May 27, 2023 and March 29, 2024.
REGISTERING FOR PROFESSIONAL LEARNING IN VECTOR
Beginning July 1, 2023, professional learning registration will take place in Vector PD Tracking.
PROVIDING FEEDBACK FOR PROFESSIONAL LEARNING IN VECTOR
All in-district professional learning in Vector PD Tracking now requires participants to submit feedback before earning credit. If feedback is not provided within three days, the attendee will receive an email reminder.
