GCISD Information

Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, a K-12 public school system in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, is making bold changes in the way we teach and the way students learn.

GCISD maintains a long-standing commitment to educational excellence for all children. Building on its mission to be the BEST, the district continues increasing the level of rigor in classrooms to address expectations of the community and better prepare students for success in college and their future careers.

It is an exciting time in GCISD, and we look forward to serving alongside our community toward our mission to be the BEST. We are Building Excellent Schools Together!

Strategic Plan

GCISD’s strategic plan is called LEAD 2.0, which stands for Leading Excellence-Action Drive. The aim of LEAD 2.0 is to change and further refine upon the tenets and successes of LEAD 2021. LEAD 2.0 consists of four goals:

  • Actively identify and remove barriers that limit access to and opportunity for learning

  • Design learning environments that support social and emotional well-being

  • Create a culture that fosters learning environments that reflect student voice and promote student engagement

  • Effectively communicate with targeted audiences

Student Progress

Grapevine-Colleyville ISD is making bold advances in the way we teach and in the way we expect students to learn. In addition to career and college preparation, we strive to create global citizens who are skilled problem solvers, effective communicators, self-regulated learners and collaborative workers through our Portrait of a Graduate. The Portrait of a Graduate expects far more than any standardized test score and encourages creativity, perseverance, citizenship and patriotism for students in collaborative work environments so students are able to work together in unique ways.
