We are the award-winning CMS Theatre Department located in Colleyville, TX. For years, our middle school theater program has been a lively place for creativity and community. Many students discovered their love for the performing arts here, and some even made it a career. As we celebrate our history, we're excited to keep inspiring the next generation on our stage. Aaron Arroyo is thrilled to be heading into his 5th year at Colleyville Middle School and 10th year in education. Mr. Arroyo grew up in San Antonio and attended Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi as an undergrad Acting/ Directing Major. Right after graduating from TAMU-CC, Mr. Arroyo went on to earn his Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting at the prestigious Claire Trevor School of the Arts at UC Irvine. He has performed all over the country, and at the top-tier Equity Theatres (professional theatres) here in DFW. He is a part of the Actors' Equity Association (AEA), Shakespeare Association of America (SAA), Texas Educational Theatre Association (TxETA), and the Educational Theatre Association (ETA). Mr. Arroyo is an official UIL One-Act Play Adjudicator and Theatre Consultant. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, reading, and slaying dragons on the weekends. His wife's name is Sterling, and together they raise their amazing son, Mateo.
