GCF E-Bulletin for Friday, October 30, 2026

Shared Meal: We will have a shared meal this Sunday, November 1st. If you plan to stay for the meal, we ask families to bring a main dish AND a side or dessert. Individuals are welcome to bring just one dish. 


Guest Speaker: With the rise of Islam around the world, Christians should understand its teachings and know how to minister to those who hold them. This Sunday, November 1st, Kamal Saleem will be sharing during the morning service. He is a former terrorist who had a radical conversion to Christianity and is now a minister of the Gospel; invite your friends!


Daylight Saving Time: Daylight Saving Time ends early Sunday morning (Nov. 1), so don’t forget to “fall back” your clocks on Saturday night; otherwise, you might be an hour early to church!


Children’s Christmas Choir: On December 20th, the youth at GCF (preschool-5th grade) will have a special performance. During a portion of children’s church, in the weeks leading up to the performance (November 29, December 6, December 13), they will practice the songs. Next week, sign-ups will be available. Everyone who wants to participate (and can commit to attending church on December 20th) needs to sign up so we can plan accordingly for the number of children. 


Ladies Christmas Tea: Save the date for our biennial Ladies Christmas Tea on Wednesday, December 9th. This event is for the ladies of GCF and their mothers/daughters.

Shovel/Salting Volunteers Needed: We need volunteers to come in early (before 9 am) on Sunday mornings when snow is on the ground to snow-blow and salt the sidewalks in front of the church, as well as to shovel the access doors. We are asking people to commit to certain Sundays - you might not be needed if there isn’t snow on the day you sign up for. If you are able and interested, please sign up at the welcome center on Sunday. For a visual representation of what we are asking, here is an aerial view of the areas that require attention. *We have deacons committed to clearing the snow during the week, so it will NOT be a week’s worth of accumulation.


Lost & Found: The lost and found bin is full, so we've set it out on tables in the fellowship hall. Please take a moment to look over the table in the fellowship hall to make sure nothing is yours. After a couple of weeks, we will donate/discard most of the items. Please do not take anything off the table unless it is yours.

1.  GCF ONLINE GIVING has been updated on our website, gcfchurch.net, and our 'Word Server' app for Android and iOS. We now provide more giving options—you can use Credit/Debit, ACH/Checking, or SMS/Text Giving. 

       ● This system is tightly integrated with our Churchtrac church management software and utilizes the latest security methods.

       ● To take advantage of all of these new features, you should log in with your name and email, at which time you can set up your password. 

2. By logging in, you will be able to view and print your giving records, as well as update your family profile, including email addresses, phone numbers, and other relevant details. Whenever you make changes to your records or contact information, please send an email to secretary@gcfchurch.net to inform me so that the edits can be made in the appropriate locations (e.g., the GCF printed directory).
