The GCDS Maker Faire on April 24, 2018 is an opportunity for classroom teachers, media and arts specialists, technology integrators and administrators to gather and learn from each other.

The day will kick off with a keynote address from Colleen Graves, co-author of "Big Book of Makerspace Projects and Challenge Based Learning in the Library Makerspace," followed by hands-on workshops and activities from some of Connecticut's most innovative teachers, If you are embracing the do-it-together spirit or creating and making with your students and would like to share your ideas with other educators please join us!

Keynote Speaker Ron Beghetto

Dr. Beghetto is an internationally recognized expert on creative thought and action in educational settings. He serves as Professor of Educational Psychology and Director of Innovation House at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Beghetto is the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Creative Behavior and a Fellow of the American Psychological Association He has published seven books and over 100 articles and book chapters on topics related to creativity, innovation, and education. Dr. Beghetto provides keynote addresses, workshops, and professional development for teachers, instructional leaders, and educational policymakers around the world.
