Hello Fifth Grade Families! I am pleased to be a part of the Gila Crossing Community School! I am eager to work diligently with your child this school year! I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I grew the love and passion for becoming an elementary teacher ever since I was a third grade student. My most important role models in my home growing up were my parents, who have instilled great work ethics. My father and aunt both inspired me to become a teacher, as they too taught in elementary education. Another great role model, was my third grade teacher (Mrs.Zembruski), she was absolutely phenomenal. She shared a wealth of information with my myself, peers, staff and had a significant touch to performing as an excelling teacher. Her class was always so much fun! She incorporated music in her classroom and had students choose the instrument of choice, so that we could participate, meanwhile she played the piano. Best part ever! I have been teaching for sixteen & a half years in elementary education, ranging from grades Kindergarten to Fifth Grade. I am also a proud ASU alumni! I currently have two sons attending ASU studying to become engineers. My daughter is currently studying for business management and attends Estrella Community College, which is my Alma Mater. Needless to say, I am a proud mom. I have another son currently interested in becoming a barber and my youngest son is a junior in high school. A little bit about myself outside of school, I enjoy playing softball, taking fitness classes, running, reading, journaling, boxing, kickboxing and most importantly taking care of my family with the help of God.
