Classroom expectations

Classroom PRIDE expectations apply in all related arts classes.

ALL students are expected to:

• Be respectful. Have respect for the space, the work, and each other. 

• Be prepared. Have your materials ready to use. 

• Be on time and ready to work. 

• Be an engaged learner. Engagement leads to your best work. 

• Be mindful. Treat others the way you would like to be treated. 

• Be productive. Stay on task with effort and engagement. 

• Be open to taking creative risks. 

• Be positive. A positive attitude leads to a positive learning environment. 

• Be okay with creative mistakes. They will happen!

• Be honest. Constructive criticism is valuable- but don’t forget to be mindful! 

• Be aware. Ask questions when it’s appropriate. Listen to others. 

• Be focused. Stay on task, follow directions. 

• Be an active participant. Engagement and effort are key. 

• Be an active listener. Listen fully to others. Listen fully to instructions. 

• Be present. Phones go in lockers, not the back pocket. 

• Be informed. Negative actions have consequences.

• Be responsible for your own learning. 

Failure to follow classroom rules and expectations can result in an infraction (disciplinary warning), an office referral, or in extreme/repetitive cases, in-school suspension or out-of-school suspension, which can result in probation from school clubs, organizations, field trips, and other events.

1st Period (8A): 8:01-8:57

2nd Period (8B): 9:01-9:50

3rd Period (6A): 9:54-10:42

4th Period (6B): 10:46-12:04

Lunch- 10:47-11:17

Planning (No students): 12:10-12:59

5th Period (7A): 1:03-1:52

6th Period (7B): 1:56-2:45

*Note there is no difference in A classes versus B classes. Curriculum is the same.
