At the beginning of each school year, faculty and administration invite students to join the National Honor Society based on these criteria:
Students must have/maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 or higher.
Students must be in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. Freshman students wishing to join must wait to get invited at the beginning of their sophomore year.
Students must exhibit stellar behavior.
Students who are invited to join the National Honor Society must go through the application process and induction ceremony before becoming formal members.
Returning members are issued new invitation letters at the beginning of every school year. Students who have been inducted into NHS are highly encouraged to renew their membership annually. Students are not considered active members until their dues ($20) for the current school year have been paid. Non-active members are restricted from participating in NHS events. Senior students who are classified as non-active members will not be allowed to wear official NHS regalia to graduation.
