As an active artist, I am excited to bring my passion for Art and Design into the classroom. I graduated from Texas State University with a BFA in Communication Design and I have been teaching for 6 years. I chose to teach because I wanted to make a positive impact and help foster creativity in my community. When I am not teaching or creating, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends and gathering inspiration wherever I can.
Mrs. McDonald was born and raised in Owasso, Oklahoma, go Rams! She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts, with an emphasis in Graphic Design, from the University of Tulsa. After moving to Texas she obtained her alternative teaching certificate and enjoys seeing high school students discover their hidden talent and further develop their artistic skill. She is married, to her high school sweetheart, and has two young boys. In her spare time she volunteers as a Cub Scout Den Leader.
Born and raised in Baytown, I am a product of Goose Creek CISD. I went to James Bowie Elementary, Cedar Bayou Junior, and graduated from Sterling High School in 1998. From there I earned my degree in Art Education from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. I returned to Baytown and have been teaching in GCCISD for 17 years. 6 at the elementary level and 11 in high school. I live in Baytown with my 2 sons. My favorite things are to travel, paint, cook, spend time with my family and friends, and attend baseball games.

I am currently in my 15th year of teaching, & 12th year as a Head Drill Team Director. I am honored to be able to do what I love for a living, and give back to students in my hometown & the district I grew up in. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, & going to the beach.
I have two children who are 6 and 2 and have been married for 7 years. This is my second year teaching and am loving every minute! When I am not teaching I am with my family and friends enjoying some quality time!
I am thrilled to be in a profession that combines my passion of music with the opportunity to positively impact the lives of young people. When I am not waving my arms before choirs I am reading, hiking, or traveling. I live my life with the hope that we all have the capacity for change and I hope that I learn as much as possible from the students I serve.
Brad Comeaux is the Head Band Director of the Ross S. Sterling High Schoool Band program. He conducts the Wind Ensemble, Sterling Silver Spectacular Marching Band, and Jazz Bands. He also assists the Symphonic and Concert Bands. He attended McNeese State University in 1996 where he studied with David Scott earning a Bachelors degree with a concentration in Trumpet Performance (2000). He attended Stephen F. Austin University in 2008 where he studied conducting/arranging with Fred Allen earning his Masters of Arts degree (2011).
Previously he was the Head Director at Hudson High School from 2004 to 2016. He was the Assistant Band Director at Corrigan-Camden High School from 2003 to 2004, LaGrange High School from 2002 to 2003, and Lake Charles High School from 2001 to 2002. Mr. Comeaux also served as Adjunct Faculty at Angelina College teaching private lessons from 2002 to 2003. His programs have won UIL Sweepstakes awards, many 1st division ratings in both marching and concert, have advanced to the UIL Area Marching Contest, and have won numerous Jazz Awards and 1st division ratings.
Mr. Comeaux has been nominated multiple years by students for Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers and was chosen for the 2005 and 2006 editions. He has performed with the Lake Charles and Rapides Symphonies. He still plays professionally and loves teaching!
His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Jazz Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
Mr. Comeaux is married to his wife Summer Comeaux and has 2 children, McKenzie & Bryce.

Missouri native Dylan Fornshell is the associate director of choirs at Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown, Texas. He was previously the director of choirs for a high school in southern Indiana. Prior to teaching in Indiana, he was a graduate teaching assistant at Missouri State University where he served as the associate conductor for the Women’s Chorus and Chorale and also taught undergraduate choral conducting. Mr. Fornshell holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Missouri State University, where he studied with Drs. Guy B. Webb and Cameron F. LaBarr. As a singer, Mr. Fornshell has toured to Europe and Africa, as well as throughout the United States with the Missouri State University Chorale. Mr. Fornshell served as the Chorale’s associate conductor during the 2016-2017 academic year which was highlighted with a performance at the 58th Presidential Inauguration. As an educator, Mr. Fornshell has published four articles with the Missouri State Music Magazine. Mr. Fornshell served as State President for the Missouri National Association for Music Education - Collegiate as well as an advisory member of the Board of Directors for the Missouri Music Education Association.

Camille Gates was born and raised in Bellingham, Washington. She is a cellist and conductor and specializes in String Music education. When not making music, she spends time with her husband Evan, and their dog Baker. Mrs. Gates enjoys cooking, board games, and travelling whenever she can.

Brent Gibson has been the percussion director at Sterling High School since 2013. After completing his undergraduate degree at McNeese State University in 2010, he began his teaching career for one year in Kirbyville ISD following another year in Kountze ISD. During his time at McNeese Brent was involved in many ensembles such as the Pride of McNeese Marching Band, the Wind Symphony, Percussion Ensemble, Marimba Band, Brazilian Bloco, and was present for the founding of the steel band ensemble.
From 2006-2009 Brent was also on staff as a part time percussion specialist at Alfred M. Barbe High School where the ensembles achieved several first divisions and other awards. Brent’s performance experience includes the Lake Charles Symphony, the Symphony of Southeast Texas, the Brazosport Symphony Orchestra, the Calvary Baptist Church Orchestra, the Sagemont Church Orchestra, and Memorial Baptist Church in Baytown. Brent was also a 2008 member of the Santa Clara Vanguard, a drum and bugle corps based out of Santa Clara, California.
His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Percussive Arts Society, and Texas Color Guard Circuit.
Brent enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Ashley, and his two children, Braylee & Jacob. In addition to spending time with his family, Brent is an avid sports fan and supports multiple teams including the Atlanta Braves, Chicago Bears, San Antonio Spurs, and Manchester United FC.
Dwight Watson earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Master’s Degree in Conducting with an Emphasis in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. In 2017, he began his career as an assistant band director at Cedar Bayou Junior School in Goose Creek Consolidated ISD. It was here where he helped lead the non-varsity band to their first sweepstakes ratings at UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest and achieved the same ratings the following year. Mr. Watson joined Sterling High School in the Spring of 2020, and is beginning his 4th year of teaching this school year as a Sterling Ranger.
Mr Barrow is the Director of Theatre at Sterling High School. Under his direction, the RSS Theatre Department has won 5 UIL One Act Play District Championships. Mr Barrow is a proud graduate of Stephen F Austin University.

Born and raised in NJ, Mrs. Mayhew has worked professionally in the Theater as an Actor, Acting Coach, Teacher and Director in California for over 20 years. Favorite Roles include the White Witch in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and the Stepmother in Cinderella. Her voice over as "Pricilla the Proton " is part of the permanent exhibit at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC.. She loves teaching her students the art of collaboration , which has helped many go on to work professionally in the Performing Arts.
