Project Examples

1st Grade-Animal Nation

1st graders in Ms. Rupp's class at Austin researched an animal and showed off their learning using several different platforms! They organized their research in Google Slides and Popplet and presented their learning using the Green Screen app and iMovie and even published their videos to YouTube! They presented their project digitally and with beautiful and colorful trifold boards at their campus showcase!

1st Grade-Animal Nation

1st-grade students in Ms. Lucke's class at Hopper researched the animals for their project and built it's habitat in Minecraft. Then, they memorized a few important facts about their animal to record a video of themselves using the Green Screen app. Their videos include ChatterPix, screen recordings/ screenshots of their Minecraft worlds, Keynote drawings, WordArt pictures, and PicCollages.

2nd Grade-Good Citizenship 

2nd graders in Ms. Jackson's class at Bowie researched and collaborated in teams to determine what made a good citizen individually, and in the school, community, and national environments. They constructed and choreographed short skits showcasing what they learned throughout the process. The transition clips were designed using Apple's Clips app, and all videos were put together in iMovie with a soundtrack option.

3rd Grade-Design a Garden Project 

3rd-grade students in Mrs. Truncale's class at Clark created these podcasts to accompany their real-life gardens they planted and cared for this school year. They also assembled Keynote presentations to organize the information they gathered from research, hands-on-learning & guest speakers like beekeepers and garden specialists! 

5th Grade- My Texas Getaway

5th-grade students in Ms. Hunter's class at DeZavala researched and planned a true travel itinerary from one city to another in the Lone Star State. They had to factor in many travel expenses that included lodging, meals and souveniers from the histroic and local attractions that they visited along the way. Students organized and presented their information in the form of a Google Site which is just like this website that you are viewing now!
