Meet Ms. Rossy

Hola! My name is Rossmery Garcia, I like to be called Ms. Rossy. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the EPIC team and I am delighted to be teaching Spanish this year to our K-5th grade students.

I was born and raised in Colombia, South America until I was 15, then moved to the United States and have been here since. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and reading. 

I have a clear multiple subject BCLAD Credential and a Masters in Education. I have been teaching for 22 years. One of my biggest passions is bilingual education, it is a gift that we can give our students. One of my dreams came true when we were able to offer Spanish to every student at EPIC. Having the ability to speak multiple languages is an added strength and asset for student’s success. 

One of my primary goals in teaching Spanish is that my students can build a solid foundation in the Spanish language learning process. I would like my students to enjoy and embrace a new language and to be able to speak and understand a simple conversation in Spanish.
