Technology Use Fee

Guntersville High School

• The Technology Use Fee is $50 per year.

  • The Technology Use Fee is a technology bundle required for each student at registration each year. The technology bundle consists of a companion device (Touchscreen Chromebook), technology support and repairs, filtering, management, secure Wi-Fi access, and software (Google Apps for Education and Microsoft 365).

• Power adapters/chargers are not covered by the Technology Use Fee and if lost or stolen must be replaced.

  • Only factory OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) ASUS or Lenovo chargers can be used with school-issued Chromebooks.

  • Any charger returned at the end of the school year that is not an OEM charger will be required to be replaced.

  • Replacement factory OEM chargers must be purchased from the GHS Media Center.

• The current replacement cost for a Chromebook is $424.
