NIE
EU Citizens (or equivalent) do not need to apply for a visa to live in Spain. However, if you wish to live in Spain for longer than 3 months, you will need to apply for the NIE Card.
TIE
You already have a student visa. The next step for all non-Europeans staying in Spain for more than 6 months is to apply for a residency card. The type of card will differ depending on the visa the applicant applied, the most common being the student TIE.
