Hi everyone! I miss reading with all of you. I hope you're finding some time to enjoy some books at home. If you need some more choices I'll be posting read alouds here of some fun picture books. I'll also be working on finishing some of the chapter books that I was reading to some of the classes. Check back often to see what new books are available.

When a class leaves for recess, their just-baked Gingerbread Man is left behind. But he's a smart cookie and heads out to find them.

This story is about a giraffe named Edward. Edward does not like his neck. He tries all sorts of things to camouflage it but continues to compare himself to other animals which makes him feel bad about himself. He is ready to give up until a friend shows him that his neck is exactly as it should be.

Earth Day is a day that was created to promote awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment and occurs each year on April 22nd. The first Earth Day was in 1970 and was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in for school children. We will celebrate the 50th year anniversary of Earth Day this year on Wednesday, April 22nd.

Slowly, slowly, slowly . . . that's how the sloth lives. He hangs upside-down from the branch of a tree, night and day, in the sun and in the rain, while the other animals of the rain forest rush past him. "Why are you so slow? Why are you so quiet?
