General Guidelines
Teams should be at their tables by their timeslot.
Teams may wander SkillsUSA State floors if time permits and if local advisor is ok with it. - USR Staff will not police your presence here.
IF a team is not present for their timeslot, the score for that challenge will be a zero with no makeups - be on time.
Scoring and operation of each challenge course will follow closely to the National Technical Standards for USR.
Following End of Opening Ceremony: Find your tables , set up robots, USR staff will check rosters
3:15: Contest Briefing
4:00: Turn in resume and Engineers' Notebook.
4:15: Drive Chassis Course. Each team has a scheduled time slot. IF team is not present for their timeslot, the run will be forfeited and score will be zero.
4:00-6:00: Courses open for teams to look over and practice. Teams wait in line, 5 min maximum on a course.
7:30: USR opens for teams.
8:00: Each team gets ONLY ONE chance at score for each course and each team has timeslots for each course.
12:00-12:30: Lunch
12:30-1:00: Written Test
1:00: Panel discussion with judges.
o Limit of eight motors/servos per competing robot
o Maximum of one transmitter/remote
o One rechargeable battery pack for drivetrain motor power, maximum 12V 3,000 mAh.
o Wireless camera system that must be mounted on robot
o Robot must fit into an 18" x 18" x 18" space when starting but may be expanded to a larger size during the challenge.
o Implementation of pneumatic systems are prohibited due to safety concerns of potential rupture of onboard pressure vessels used to power pneumatics on a mobile robot in an unprotected arena.
