In order to keep our students and staff as safe as possible, FMS is following district mandatory mask use policy while on district/school property. Students in violation of this policy will be addressed as follows:
Masks are required everywhere on campus (outside or inside) at Franklin Middle School. The only exception is while eating in the Bistro or if the student has a written medical excuse.
If a student is not wearing a mask or not properly wearing a mask (mouth and nose completely covered) - they will be given one reminder to wear it or place it on properly.
If a student doesn’t immediately place their mask on or position the mask correctly, teachers should call for a monitor to escort the student to an isolation room (129 is acceptable if no other students are present).
Admin will speak with the student to reteach and ask them to comply.
If a student complies they will return to class. If the student does not comply they will remain isolated until they are able to leave the building.
COVID Testing
It was brought to the District's attention that there are many barriers and challenges for our students families surrounding COVID tests in our community. Some tests cost a significant amount of money if you do not have insurance or follow these pathways. There are also ways around entering your social security number.
CVS-- to be free you must have a state ID ( Drivers license, state ID or Social security number) otherwise they test is charged to the patient
Walgreens--100% free without insurance, or ID, they just need to make an appointment prior on the app/website and not enter insurance info and NOT be seen in the care.
Prevea-- 100% free if set up through the Prevea Website or app. Create an account if one hasn't been made prior. New User Account. If no Social Security number, enter 999-99-9999 OR call (920) 272-3540. Do not schedule an appt to see a medical doctor, to be seen in urgent care or emergency department or charge will be incurred.
Bellin-- Also 100% free. Sign up via their web site New user account or call 920-445-7313. Do not schedule an appt to see a medical doctor, to be seen in urgent care or emergency department or charge will be incurred.
