ALL STUDENTS (Planned Absences):
Leave of Absence Permission from the Head of School is required for any planned absence.
Complete the "Application Form for Leave of Absence" via THIS FORM. A minimum of 7 days' notice is required.

Medical Appointments

BOARDERS (Weekend absence due to illness):
If your child goes home for the weekend and becomes unwell, preventing their return to school, please call the Attendance Officer (01737 649106) on the first day of absence. Upon their return, an absence note must be provided to Student Services (or emailed to attendanceofficer@gatton-park.org.uk).
FLEXI BOARDERS (absence due to illness):
If your child is absent due to illness, please call Attendance (01737 649106) on the first day of absence and each subsequent day they remain unwell. Upon their return, an absence note must be provided to Student Services (or emailed to attendanceofficer@gatton-park.org.uk).
Lateness: Students arriving late to school, for any reason, must report directly to Student Services to register before going to lessons.
Unauthorised Absence: Absences beyond agreed dates will be recorded as unauthorised. Surrey's Inclusion Officer regularly checks school registers and may make enquiries about unauthorised absences.
May Bank Holiday:
The first May Bank Holiday is a normal school working day; students are expected to attend. Unapproved absences will be marked as unauthorised. The second May Bank Holiday falls within half-term.
