Back to School Information Guide 2024-2025

Message from the GaTSA President

Georgia TSA,

My name is Cade Smith, your 2024-2025 State President, and I just want to welcome you all to the new school year! I hope you all enjoyed your summer, and I hope it was filled with fun, relaxation, and was the reset that I know many of us needed. I hope many of you gained new experiences, got to try new things, and met new people. However, it’s time to jump back into the school year, and I absolutely cannot wait to kick off this year with excitement!

Last year was absolutely amazing and the effort that you all put in was nothing short of amazing! You faced every event, every challenge, and every opportunity with a drive and determination that is truly inspiring. Georgia TSA saw many firsts this past year, such as over 3000 members attending our State Leadership Conference! Let’s continue to shatter state records and show the nation what makes Georgia TSA so awesome!

I can assure you that the officer team and I are incredibly excited for what we have in store for all of you throughout the year. I have seen what the members of Georgia TSA are capable of. I have seen your jaw-dropping creations. I have seen the impact you have on others. I absolutely cannot wait to see what you all do this year. Let’s flood this year with excellence, excitement, and exceptional accomplishments!

Your 2024-2025 Georgia TSA President,

Cade Smith

Message from the Board President

Welcome back! On behalf of the Board of Directors, this year in Georgia TSA we are going to celebrate success and growth. Last year we celebrated many successes! We held four successful state conferences, awarded almost $15,000 in National Conference travel scholarships from our Georgia TSA sponsors and grants received, awarded four Legacy Award Honorees. This year the Georgia TSA Board of Directors is working on even bigger things. We are inviting you to get your chapter involved with our CORE Carnival by hosting a booth to raise money for our service projects. We are mixing it up with a new judging method for events at Tech Day at the Fair and are going to make Fall Leadership an invaluable Leadership experience for your chapter on Jekyll Island. At the State Conference in Athens, we will have the 2024 rule book for High School and Nationals will be held in Nashville, Tn. It will certainly be an exciting year for Georgia TSA!

I look forward to celebrating the success of our students with you at this year’s conferences. Thank you to all our advisors, supporting school systems, administrators, and parents for helping build your students' future. Georgia TSA gives them hands-on learning experiences, teaches the spirit of competition, and helps students gain leadership skills. I feel the skills, knowledge and experience they will receive in Georgia TSA are unmatched by any other club or CTSO.

Finally, I extend my sincere gratitude to the Board of Directors, alumni, volunteers, and everyone who works tirelessly behind the scenes to endure the growth of our organization. Your selfless commitment and amazing contributions to your students are truly remarkable. I look forward to serving you and am always available via email at kevin_seymour@dekalbschoolsga.org or Lab Cell 404-907-5023 to help you and your chapter be successful and continue to grow.
