Welcome to the Gatesville Primary Literacy Page. Our mission is to teach so that students learn to their maximum potential. As such, students will be active participants in a literacy rich environment.
The vision at GISD is to provide superior learning opportunities through the implementation of a full, innovative, rigorous, comprehensive literacy program.
We are excited to have a Literacy Lab this year! Our students will have an opportunity for 45 minutes per week to attend the lab and practice all things phonics. We will have approximately 3 teachers in the lab working with small groups of students to master phonic skills.
