Hello! My name is Melissa Price and I have been the Culinary Arts Instructor since the school opened in 2013! I was born and raised in Gaston County and graduated with honors from East Gaston in 2002 where I was part of the Culinary Arts program. I pursued my college degree from Central Piedmont Community College. I graduated with 2 degrees from CPCC, Culinary Arts in 2005 and Baking & Pastry Arts in 2007. I have been working in the industry since the day I turned 18 in every capacity possible. I have worked both locally and in other surrounding areas in private and public country clubs, restaurants, management and catering. I have been excited to be able to come back to teach in the county that showed me that Career and Technical Education has so many wonderful benefits and choices! I look forward to teaching each and every one of my students and helping them to foster a love for food, cooking and the hospitality industry!
