Extracurriculars

Our department supports and mentors students participating in the Gaston Regional Science and Engineering Fair, and also sponsors North Gaston’s Science Olympiad Team. The Olympiad is a NC State program that focuses on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and hosts competitive tournaments across the state. These tournaments consist of a series of hands-on and interactive events that draw from the various disciplines of biology, earth and environmental science, chemistry, physics, engineering and technology.
