Who is mr thompson?

This is me and my sister Rebecca. She is seven years younger than me and lives in Spokane, Washington. She's married with two kids, two big shaggy dogs, three chameleons, and a turtle. My parents also live in Spokane. (They have a big shaggy cat.)

This is me with my wife Cindy. She's great, is my best friend in the whole wide world, and loves teaching kids, too. She's a writer.

Hobbies!
When I have time, I enjoy a hobby called 'benchmarking.' It means going out and finding these little metal disks mounted in the ground. They were put there a very long time ago by surveyors, and many of them have been forgotten about. They're all over the country! These are two; the picture on the left is of a benchmark in Belmont across from the old middle school, and the other one on the right is 'way up at the tippy top of Blowing Rock!

Did you know I wasn't always a CTE teacher? I taught 7th grade math at YCMS for years, and I still tutor for the EOGs! (And yes, I'm an anime and manga fan!)

In 2020 during The Big Lockdown, I taught math remotely at Gaston Virtual Academy...and it was AWESOME!
