For each applicant, the candidate, a parent/legal guardian, and a teacher should submit an online application at https://tinyurl.com/GastonLinksApp (English) or https://tinyurl.com/SpanishLinksApp (Spanish)
Criteria for eligibility can found at the bottom of this page.
We request applications be completed by February 27, 2026 for candidates to be considered for the Fall 2026 semester.
Students are eligible to apply if they:
1. are following the extensions to the NC Standard Course of Study leading to a certificate, not a diploma.
2. will be at least 18 years old by the first day of class for the upcoming school year.
3. will have completed 4 years of high school.
Strong candidates:
1. possess a drive to learn and to overcome challenges.
2. have the will to participate every day
2. can routinely demonstrate self-management and self-care skills in a college setting.
3. interact with Job Coaches, EC Teachers, and College Instructors without daily prompting from adults.
Students who will be 22 years old or older on the first day of the new school year or who graduated with a diploma may apply to participate in Gaston Links' Career College courses using this link.
