i-Ready

When your child logs in to iReady, you can see how they are doing and check on their progress. Once your child logs in, they should choose a subject (Reading or Math).

You child will now see a To-Do list that shows their lesson pathway and any lessons your child’s teacher has assigned. This pathway is based on the most recent diagnostic test and assigns work that is based on their level.

If your child’s teacher has assigned particular lessons they want your child to complete, these will also show up on the To-Do list. Your child should follow your teacher’s directions about what lessons to do first.

At the bottom of the screen, however, you will see the following icons:

  • Learning Games are only available when Math is the active subject. (Your child’s teacher can also turn these on or off depending on whether your child is completing their work and making progress.

  • The My Stuff icon takes the child to a page where they can choose Buddies or Themes for their iReady login page and where they can also spend the coins they’ve earned while completing their lessons. They can spend their coins by playing games in the Rewards window.

  • As a parent, the My Progress icon is where you can go to see details or stats on how well your child is doing. At the top left, you can easily switch between subjects to see this information for both subjects.

  • You can view how many minutes they have completed on iReady lessons this week and you can also see how many lessons they have passed this school year. Try challenging your child to extend their lesson streak by continuing to pass lessons.

  • You can also click on the completed work button at the bottom of the screen. Here, you will see the names of the lessons completed, the date they completed the lesson, and what they scored on the lesson. Any lesson that shows up in red is a lesson your child struggled with and didn’t pass. If they repeated the lesson and didn’t pass it a second time, you will want to be aware of this. Your teacher will also be monitoring your child’s progress through their iReady portals.
