Frequently Asked Questions

What does a day of home learning look like?

For students at Belmont Central during this time, we are using iReady for all students that have internet access. Each day students should sign into Google Classroom or their grade level or classroom website and see what their teachers have assigned them for the day. When working in iReady for math and reading, students will be completing grade level lessons as well as lessons on their individualized pathway. Students will also complete work in science and social studies according to the Gaston County Schools curriculum. In addition, teachers will be creating videos to share with students for grade level content.

What do I do if I need more support and have questions?

Please check the Help Documents page on this web site. If you need further help, please contact your child's teacher via email or through Class Dojo if they use it. You may also correspond with your child's teacher through Google Classroom.

What is available for Students without Digital Access?

If students do not have digital access at home, we have established a pick-up location outside the front office of the school for work packets. Teachers can provide assistance with the work being provided in the packet. There are packets for each grade level, AIG, Mrs. Kane, Mrs. Richmond, Mrs. Townsend, Mrs. Azuaje, and Itinerant teachers.
