CRITERIA
To participate in the Enrichment program, students undergo an identification process, based on test results, both cognitive and skill based, and teacher assessments. Such students manifest behaviors in three general clusters of characteristics: above average intellectual ability, task commitment, and creativity.
Identification is based on multiple criteria and students qualify for the programs based on the accumulation of points in each of the areas listed below.
Below are the measures used for the identification matrix in Grades 3-8 :
Teacher Rating Scale
NJSLA Math and ELA Scores
COGAT Score (Score used in 3rd and 5th grade identification process)
MAP Fall Benchmark RIT Score
Performance/sample work piece/assessment (where applicable)
Each score a student earns on the assessments and the performance ratings are given a point value on the matrix. Students who meet the matrix score for their respective school year will be considered for the program.
