Purpose: The Reset Room provides students with a structured space to take a brief (15-minute) break to self-regulate, reset, and return to class. This initiative serves as an early intervention tool, helping prevent classroom incidents and reducing office referrals. Teachers can utilize this space as a de-escalation strategy to support students before behaviors escalate.

📲 Clear Request System
Students request access to the Reset Room through E-Hall Pass:
Only five students allowed at a time (E-Hall Pass ensures this)
Stay Away Agreements are honored (E-Hall Pass ensures this)
Teachers are encouraged to honor requests unless there is a compelling reason not to—this is an intervention, not a reward. Sometimes teachers have a hard time understanding why they should allow students to leave the classroom to “reset”.
🎨 Calming Activities & Resources
The room includes multiple stations and tools for self-regulation:
Puzzle Station
Art & Creative Expression
Meditation/Breathing Area
Fidget Tools
Soft Background Music & Relaxing Visuals
Optional Conversations with Trained Staff for emotional processing

Why It Matters:
The 15-Minute Reset isn’t just a room—it’s a proactive approach to building a safe, supportive learning environment where students can learn to self-regulate, reflect, and return to class more focused and calm.
