Digital Citizenship Guidelines for Teachers
The following guidelines provide information on internet safety and digital citizenship, etiquette for online behavior, responsible use of technology and overall guidance on how to navigate technology safely. It is crucial, more so now than ever, that both teachers and families understand these guidelines in order to create a safe learning environment online for students.

The Sheltered Instruction & At-Home Learning Course gives educators a snapshot of the supports that can be provided to ELs during distance learning. The course focuses on:
- Real examples of how to take distance learning plans and set them up in both Seesaw and Google classroom - Ways to support effective and independent at-home learning. - Meeting the needs of English Learners in a way that is manageable for both student and teacherThe entire duration of the course is approximately 1 hour and is broken up into six modules.
This required Digital Learning training will provide all teachers and instructional staff with context, guidelines, and the foundational knowledge that is needed to begin GISD’s At-Home Learning plan.
