How to Play GAME ON!
What is Game On!?
GAME ON! is a GISD summer reading challenge that encourages you to read more books and earn the chance to win prizes for turning in the reading log to your school librarian by August 12th.
How does it work?
Simply read your way around the GAME ON! board and complete the reading tasks on the colored tiles. You can move around the board randomly by selecting the tasks that sound most appealing to you or leave it to chance by rolling the dice! You may read a physical book, myON or any digital book.
The Tiles
The colored tiles feature the reading tasks and can be divided into three groups:
* GENRE: reading tasks based on a specific genre (ex. Funny, fantasy, poetry)
*BOOK: reading tasks based on a book’s cover, color, title, etc.
*SHARE: reading tasks that involve other people and/or encourage you to talk about your reading
Good luck and happy reading!
Each child will receive a copy of the game board and the reading log from their home campus. If you need extra copies, you can click on the picture and then print it.
