Around the world

This activity encourages all students to interact through reading and writing

1. Write different questions or promopts on chart paper and post the papers around the room

2. Students move aroudn the room in groups or freely and write answers on paper or sticky notes .

3. Students share with small group to whole group techniques.


Think-Pair-Share

1. Pose a question or topic to the classroom and ask the students to think about an answer to the question

2. Ask students to pair up with an elbow partner and have a student share his/her idea while the other student in the pair listens.

3. Ask the other person in the group to answer to the question while his/her partner listens

4. Bring the whole class back together, and ask several studentes to share what they learned from their partners.

5. Chart the answers for further discussion , if appropriate.
