Like previous years, EBCON 2025 will have a unique shirt design representative of this year's conference "Unlock the Future!"—featuring a striking gold key with two figures walking together, symbolizing the journey of emergent bilingual students as they unlock the future through education and opportunity. Set against a sleek backdrop, this vibrant and meaningful shirt captures the essence of opening doors to endless possibilities for students in the Garland ISD community.
EBCON began in 2021 with about 100 virtual attendees consisting of teachers and staff within Garland ISD.
EBCON2022 was executed as a hybrid conference with about 150 attendees in person and virtually.
EBCON2023 took place in person with approximately 250 attendees, mostly Garland ISD staff, however the conference opened up to educators from other school districts in the area.
EBCON2024 hosted more than 300 participants, in person, from all over the DFW metroplex.Â
Our goal for EBCON2025 is to host more than 500 participants!
