IGCSE Drama is all about YOU. Your Drama teachers know that IGCSE Drama helps make confident performers out of all of you who take the subject. You will spend 140 minutes per week learning how to create, perform and reflect on plays and monologues as well as learning about key playwrights and Drama makers. You will spend the rest of your week using the confidence that you gain from IGCSE Drama in ALL of your other lessons whether that be through presentations, debating points in lessons or simply having a go at the next challenging thing, whatever that thing may be.
Performing might appear difficult, but when you realise that you are 100% in control you will rise to the challenge and enjoy IGCSE Drama.
Many of our IGCSE Drama students achieve A* or A and all of them describe Drama as their most fun IGCSE course.

The best solutions to problems are the most creative ones. You will have plenty of problems to solve when studying and working. Drama develops in you creative problem solving skills. It is also REALLY GOOD FUN!
What do you do in drama?
You will create your plays, perform group scripted plays and scripted monologues.
Drama requires you to be actively creative, to perform and to analyse yours and others’ work. All learning is academic and IGCSE Drama has rigorous, summative exam at the end of Year 11 that your teachers will prepare you for thoroughly.
There is lots of acting in the course. The performance skills you learn will help you in any career you choose. Those with a wide skill set have an advantage in any career.
Drama will teach you how to learn and work confidently as part of a creative team. The best solutions are always the most creative solutions.
