III AIMS Swim Series 25/26
PURPOSE
The purpose of the AIMS Swim Series is to foster a friendly yet competitive swim environment that encourages a collaborative spirit of sportsmanship shared by Swimmers, Coaches and Parents, alike and to enable swimmers to represent their school team, intended for a healthy dose of competition that fosters growth and enjoyment for all involved.
I. AIMS Swim Series Series Rules
Dual Meets. Trophies and events.
1. Meets shall be conducted in short course and under World of Aquatics swimming rules.
2. The home team is responsible for providing time keepers and stroke officials.
3. Schools’ Groups will be set as per AIMS subscribed International schools.
4. Entry Fees. School registration fees for the league will be 500RM/year. Final entries will be free of charge. (No school Fees for 25/26)
Registration and Entry Fees will be used to purchase Trophies, medals, and ribbons for schools and swimmers.
5. There will be 2 legs plus a big final.
6. The legs must be carried on in the period of time given.
7. All the results from each swim meet will be combined together and share standings as per total number of swimmers per event/age group/gender.
8. Swimmers can participate in a maximum of 3 events per leg, and qualify for a total of 6 events for the finals. Swimmers’ age will be considered by 1st August 2025 for all the legs/meets during 25/26, including the Final.
9. Number of swimmers participating per leg will be determined by both schools involved, however we are aiming for a maximum number of swimmers participating per leg.
10. Qualifying Swim Meets will be arranged to not be longer than 3 hours and celebrated after school on a school day or weekend.
11. Score points will be given to the Top 20 swimmers per Age Group, event, and gender.(20 to 1 points)
12. Top 16 Swimmers will qualify for the Final, as Top 1st to 8th FINAL A and 9th to 16th FINAL B. Results will be a combination of both Final Heats.
13. Medals will be given to the top 3 per age group and gender in each final result after both Final events.
14. Schools will receive trophies as per:
-Final Top Points Scorer Swimmer per age group and gender (during the Final)
-Best School per age group/gender (7-8 U9 / 9-10 / 11-12 / 13-14 / 15O)
EVENTS
B. Protest Board
1. The protest board shall consist of the AIMS Swim Series School Organizer , and a representative of each Division Schools.
2. Violations of rules and regulations, disputes, and protests will be reported following protest procedures.
3. Final authority in all disputes, violations and protests will rest with the Protest Board.
4. The protest board may cause a meet to be forfeited for failure to comply with AIMS Series Rules.
C. Protest Procedures
1. All protests must be made first to the organisers of the meet in question. If his/her decision is not acceptable to either coach, an appeal must be made to the Organizers Board.
D. Rule Changes
1. Recommendations for changes in the rules and regulations of the AIMS Swim Series should be presented during the yearly meeting for discussion and consideration.
2. All final changes in the rules and regulations of the Series can be discussed by Teams involved during the Yearly Meeting. Meetings shall be conducted using video call (Zoom, google meets,...)
E. Swim Meet arrangements
1. The Dual Meet arrangements must be done by the two school teams involved prior to each leg.
2. Swim Meets must be informed to the Organizer Board to update on the website. Entries must be submitted by each team at least one week prior to the Dual Meet. Entries and results must be submitted to the Organizer Board (GIS 25/26) in the Hytek file using Team Manager.
3. Results must be shared with the Organizer Board no more than 48 hours after the swim meet occurred.
4.Standings will be updated and shared in the AIMS Swim Series Website after each leg deadline.
5. In case a Dual Meet cannot be arranged during the established period, it will be considered celebrated and no results will be added to those events.
7. Dual meet home/visitor teams will rotate and arrange by the two teams involved according to their swimming pool/dates availability.
8. Final host will be proposed during the Yearly Meeting and announced on the website.
9. New teams can be added only at the beginning of the academic year and starting fresh from leg 1.
